Art Director, Director, Concept Artist
Hi I'm Avery! I am an artist, art director, and an award winning director, with a passion for environment design and nature driven stories. I have directed short films, worked on 2D and 3D projects, and have been a part of multiple advertising campaigns and development projects for feature & TV.
Currently I am working at Little Moon Animation as an Art Director and Short Film Director. I helped develop new projects like season 2 of the well loved Fia's Fairies, including helping direct a few episodes as Trainee Director. This year I had the opportunity to direct my second short film 'Little One' for RTÉ Kids 'School's Out!' short series. Before this role I worked as a concept artist for season 1 of Fia's Fairies and The Scavengers since December 2022.
I graduated from the National Film School at IADT with a Bachelors (Honours) in Animation. There I directed my first short film The Small Makings of a Storm, which I put through the festival rounds from 2022-2024. In that time it was nominated for an Irish Academy Award (IFTA), a Semi Finalist in the Student Academy Awards, Won an Irish Animation Award for Best Student Film, won 4 awards at Dingle Animation Festival including Best Irish Student, and screened across the globe.
